Getting Started with Lexical Sets

Congratulations!
You are ready to learn how to use lexical sets to learn an authentic accent!

To make it easy, we have created a document that will allow you to have both structure and the flexibility you need for exactly the accent you are working on.

We will use Google docs so that you and your dialect coach can work on this handy document together!

To start, click here

• If you don’t have a Google account, you will be prompted to get one when you click the link.

• If you do have a Google account, or as soon as you create one, you will be asked if you want to

  make a copy of the document. Click the ‘make a copy’ button.

• After you have saved the document on to your Google Drive, invite your dialect coach to edit your document.

  • You can do this by clicking the ‘Share’ button in the upper right of the screen.

  • Add the email address of your Dialect Coach in the ‘add people and groups’ section.

  • Make sure your select ‘editor’ next to your Dialect Coaches email.
